Because I have tried by added the ('defaultController'=>'default') to /protected/config/main.php. And created a DefaultController.php in /protected/controllers/, and also added actionIndex() to render the view for default page. But still not working.Thanks.

Hello Larry,

I want to create fresh web app without using yiic tool, is it possible, and how? As for the question, my suspicion is that about is a hard-coded page in your example, which could have this effect.

Thanks for the nice words. I'd like to thank you for writing those tutorials - so easy to understand, perfect work (thanks to this I becomed to like Yii immediately)!
By the way I was wondering what could be the reason that after editing config/main.php urlManager array() i get all urls seo-friendly, except page "about", which is still "index.php/site/page?view=about"? Calling directly "index.php/site/about" throws an 404 error.
I'd appreciate your help!
Best regards!
