I recently StumbledUpon BumpTop, a commercial product that greatly changes (dare I say “revolutionizes”?) how you use your computer’s desktop. It runs on both Windows and Mac OS X and is quite reasonably priced. The best way to get a sense of BumpTop is to watch the videos available at their site. It’s just cool.

Thanks for this. I saw BumpTop on TED a couple of years ago; I never knew what happened to it. Thanks for the link.
That is amazing, have you been using it much Larry? Does it work well after the initial amazement?
I actually haven’t used it all and I’m not sure that I intend to, to be frank. I try to avoid using the Desktop, although that might be because I hate how messy it gets. Maybe BumpTop would change my thinking on this? Mostly I was just amazed by the video and I always like when people come up with new, creative UI’s that make people rethink how they use computers, browsers, etc.
