Christopher Bergin
can anyone point me to a helpful source that explains how to enable the mail feature on PHP? I tried the instructions on the following link but I couldn't get it to work. http://www.blog.tripleroi.com/2012/05/solvedenabling-sendmail-on-localhost.html Mac 10.8.4 MAMP version 2 PHP 5.4.
HartleySan
You trying to use the mail function on your localhost (e.g., XAMPP installation)?

HartleySan
I'd do a Google search for something like "PHP mail XAMPP localhost". You have to configure several config files, and even then, there is a high likelihood that mail clients like Gmail and Yahoo! will mark anything from localhost as spam and immediately discard it.
Necuima
Hi Christopher, I had a similar problem a couple of years ago - my local host is via XAMPPLITE. I don't know about a MAC, but for windows you can just download and install 'fake sendmail' from www.glob.com.au and follow the instructions. After installing it, you have to adjust the sendmail.ini parameters to your environment. It worked fine for me. I hope that there is a MAC version. Cheers from Oz, Necuima.
